Top Teas - Division 2 (2002)
One of our favorite opponents, Danny "Tyrone" Higgin from
Timperley, has
compiled his list of favorite teas for Division 2. They are as follows:
1. CHOLMONDELEY - What more can I say? Top teas, Top ground - award winners by
a long way.
2. CHEADLE - Surprise entry with hot chicken wings, hot sausages and a top cake selection.
3. MOBBERLEY - All I can say is "I'm glad you've stayed up", last season I filled my boots with a vast selection of pastries.
4. BREDBURY - Small ground, Big teas with lots of cakes on offer.
5. IRBY - Not bad, would be better with a bigger cake selection.
6. ALVANLEY - What looked to be a good tea, had to be knocked down a couple of places because I spent all tea time looking for Danny "Sailor Boy" Birtles' wallet and keys which had been stolen.
7. MARPLE - On the slide, just like the team, come on boys, pull your socks up.
8. CHRISTLETON - Average teas for an average team, need to improve if you want to be title contenders.
9. TIMPERLEY - Lets hope that the new clubhouse improves the tea situation.
10. WINNINGTON PARK - Sorry lads, not up to scratch.
11. POYNTON - Top team, but if there were another 100 teams in the league, you'd still finish bottom. Oh, I will be sending you a bill, because they were so bad that I had to get a take-away after the game.
12. SALE - Did not play in this game.
