The Under 11's came out on top in a very good game against Barnton. The bowling performance was fantastic, they have made huge progress in short amount of time. Theo Cunningham (2-9 off 4) led the way again, but all bowlers performed well. Wickets were shared around between Max Evans, James Cammack, Joseph, Sam and Jimmy. Two direct hit run outs from Max and Jack restricted Barnton to 239. In reply, Park were measured in their response. Charlie Proudman followed up an excellent display as wicket keeper to top score for the team! There were many positives with the batting: Jack Baskeyfield hit the classiest shot of the day through the covers for 4 and James Cammack smashed a boundary over the top like his dad... A close finish but Winnington took the win by 11 runs. An enjoyable evening had by all down at The Rec.
The Under 9s kept up their fantastic unbeaten season when they welcomed Alvanley last Thursday. Park fielded a team with several players in either their 1st or 2nd ever match and we are proud of how they played. Park posted their highest score of the season: 313-2! Captain Freddie Manford (21) top scored, he was well supported by Ollie King (17) and Corey Lewis hitting a couple of impressive boundaries on debut. Alvanley batted well in reply, posting 289-6, the wicket taking of the Park bowlers was vital to the victory. Will Counsell (3-6) was the key bowler, well supported by wickets from Percy Bratherton and Jayden Moniz. Ollie King (0-4 off 2) kept things tight at an important stage and took a sharp catch in the field. It was another good result and it is great to see so many players enjoying their cricket this year.
