Some big performances for Park over the Bank Holiday weekend, but it's hard to argue against the winner of this week's IDE Player of the Week award, as Jonny Wales takes his second in succession.

Jonny had a magnificent all-round performance in the 1st XI's win at Bunbury, as he hit an unbeaten 74 and then took his second five-wicket haul in two games.

Batting at five, Jonny entered the game with Park batting first and on 64-3. He joined skipper Alec Butcher at the crease and the two put on a century partnership as Butcher hit 83 and Wales batted through for his 74* off 98 balls, hitting eight fours along the way.

Bunbury had been set 195 to win but got nowhere near, they were all out for 96 as Wales ripped through their line-up. His five wickets came at less than a run-an-over,  finishing with figures of 5-7 from 7.2 overs.

It was a performance that will be tough to better this season, and leaves Jonny with highly impressive season figures; in his five games played this year he is averaging 54.67 with the bat and has taken 17 wickets at just 5.94.

Some very good contributions in the honourable mentions this week that easily could have won the award on another occasion; Alec Butcher made 83 and had three dismissals behind the stumps in that 1st XI victory over Bunbury. There were some brilliant batting performances in the 3rd XI too as they beat Warrington on Sunday, Sam Speak made his highest senior score with a 78, Mike Begbie hit his second half-century in as many games with 53, and the returning Glyn Wilkinson hit a quick-fire 46 not out late on that won Park the game.
