After missing the last couple, the second team were certainly glad to have Stu back. He came straight back in to open the bowling and produced a fantastic first spell in which he took 1-8 from his opening eight overs, eventually finishing with figures of 3-34 from 13 overs.
It was in the second innings where Stu really made people sit up and take notice though, he entered at six with Park struggling on 84-4 chasing 183 to win.
Despite others falling quickly around him, Stu put on a career-best knock of 68, an innings that included seven fours, two sixes and came from just 66 balls - he reached his 50 after just 34 balls!
Tom Speak joined him in a partnership worth 75 runs that took the Park close but ultimately they fell nine runs short of their target. But it was Stu's first senior half-century and superb bowling that took all the praise from the players present.
Some good honourable mentions again this week, no 3rd XI game but in the 1st XI Jonny Wales was yet again the standout as he hit 85 not out and took two wickets, whilst in the 2nd XI game John Bradley hit 52 off 51 balls in his first second team appearance of the season.
