There were a number of good performances this weekend as both the 1st and 2nd XI picked up wins, but the clear winner for the IDE Player of the Week award was First Team skipper Alec Butcher as he hit a century in his team's win at Lymm.

The 1st XI were coming off a run of four games without a win and it looked like the worst possible time to play league leaders Lymm, Butcher and the rest of the batsmen knew they faced a tough task when they were stuck in.

Butcher opened the batting and led by example, hitting his maiden first team ton with a knock of 104 that came from just 80 balls and included 12 fours and five sixes.

He was eventually removed by Travis Scholes, but the damage had already been done and Park finished on 200-5, a total that Lymm would fall 23 runs short of as Winnington took home the 25 points.

The century looked as if it had been coming for AB, he had scored three fifties in his previous five games and now has 462 runs in Cheshire Cricket League Division Two - enough for the highest total in the league at the halfway point.

Honourable mentions this week include Iain Connor who shone with the ball in the 1st XI's win over Lymm as he took 6-53, Ash Houghton grabbed 5-34 in a superb 15 over spell in the 2nd XI's win over Cheadle Hulme Ladybridge and Kendol Richardson hit 46 from 33 balls in the same game.

Despite a winless weekend for the Park, there were still some promising individual performances - none more so than John Bradley's impressive all-round showing in the 2nd XI which earned him this week's IDE Player of the Week award.

'Bradders' was playing just his second 2nd XI game of the season, but he has made his mark already with over 100 runs and three wickets across his two appearances.

With captain and regular opening bowler Tom Norman unavailable, Bradley opened up on Saturday and bowled right the way through his full set of 15 overs, finishing with figures of 2-47 - he was unlucky not to get more and on another day would have done if Park had held their catches.

After hitting a 51 in the previous game, his excellent form with the bat continued as he made his second consecutive half-century with a knock of 50 that came from 67 balls and included seven fours.

Unfortunately he was the only Park player who showed anything with the bat on Saturday as Langley bowled Winnington out for 101 to take home the win. But Park's main positive to take from the game was Bradders reminding us how important of a player he can be for the club with both bat and ball.

onny Wales makes yet another appearance on the honourable mentions this week as he took his third 5-fer of the season with 5-24 in the 1st XI at Stockport Trinity,  James Hanson was also in the wickets - grabbing 4-56 in the 2nd XI - and 14-year-old Alex Unwin put in another impressive performance with two wickets in the 3rd XI's loss at Nelson.

It was a disappointing weekend for the Park with two losses in both the 1st XI and 2nd XI games against Kingsley, but plenty of positives were taken from both - none more so than the all-round performance of Stu Moniz for the 2nd XI, earning him this week's IDE Player of the Week award.

After missing the last couple, the second team were certainly glad to have Stu back. He came straight back in to open the bowling and produced a fantastic first spell in which he took 1-8 from his opening eight overs, eventually finishing with figures of 3-34 from 13 overs.

It was in the second innings where Stu really made people sit up and take notice though, he entered at six with Park struggling on 84-4 chasing 183 to win.

Despite others falling quickly around him, Stu put on a career-best knock of 68, an innings that included seven fours, two sixes and came from just 66 balls - he reached his 50 after just 34 balls!

Tom Speak joined him in a partnership worth 75 runs that took the Park close but ultimately they fell nine runs short of their target. But it was Stu's first senior half-century and superb bowling that took all the praise from the players present.

Some good honourable mentions again this week, no 3rd XI game but in the 1st XI Jonny Wales was yet again the standout as he hit 85 not out and took two wickets, whilst in the 2nd XI game John Bradley hit 52 off 51 balls in his first second team appearance of the season.

On Saturday evening, the 3rd XI still only had ten players, skipper Paul Morris asked who fancied a game and up stepped Kendol Richardson at the last minute - he went on to hit a match-winning, unbeaten century that earned him this week's IDE Player of the Week award.

'Kendo' had played in the 2nd XI victory over Prestbury on the Saturday and scored a quick-fire 26 that was a useful innings, but he felt he left runs out there and accepted the 3rd XI call when it came, even telling 2nd XI players to come down to The Rec to watch him score a ton the next day - and he duly delivered.

Batting at four, he entered the game in the 14th over with Park 44-2. He batted through and completed his century in just 26 overs on the penultimate ball of the innings, then smashed the final ball for six to finish not out on 107.

That final hit also meant the Park went over the 200 mark as they put on 201-5 in what would turn out to be an 88-run victory as opponents Alvanley were bowled out for 113.

Just for good measure, he also added two wickets to his superb all-round day, taking 2-4 from a couple of late overs to mark a special performance that adds to the already impressive list of contenders for Performance of the Year.

Some very good honourable mentions this week who could have easily won on another occasion too, in the 2nd XI Joe Paterson hit an excellent 69* and James Hanson took 5-70, whilst Alec Butcher made 84 not out in the 1st XI's draw at Barnton.
